Plummer BlockHousings help to form bearing units, with Self-aligning Ball Bearings and Spherical Roller Bearings. They permit flexibility in the choice of bearing, location on shaft, seals, and lubrication. To allow slight adjustment in the position, Plummer Block Housings have two elongated holes for attachment bolts. The bearing seat in the housing bore is designed for non-locating bearing arrangements. The bearing can move slightly in either direction to compensate shaft elongation, which may happen due to thermal expansion.
